Bladeless ceiling fan appears to work by magic. It’s not magic, though. It is simply a clever application of same basic aerodynamic principles that allow jets to fly. The air stream bladeless fan is smooth, without shocks created by fan blades.
Bladeless ceiling fan actually having blades driven by an electric motor 40 watts hidden in base unit. Drive motor driven fan draws air through vents in base and pushes it into hollow hoop. Back of rim has a 1.3 mm slot width runs completely around rim and looking forward. Air is blown through thin slot accession to an airfoil Coanda which channels air into a jet stream straight forward-moving ring.

Bladeless ceiling fan dramatically increases airflow. When air is forced from relatively fat ring through fine groove, speeds and pressure drops. High speed air flow annular low pressure sucks in ambient air on back and along with hoop. This has effect of multiplying flow of air as it puts out 15 units of air per unit of air sucked into fan base. Basic table fan 10 inches moves to 5.28 liters of air per second, equivalent to 40 cubic feet of air per minute.
