Outdoor sectional furniture covers – Garden chairs offer convenient seating for outdoor events and can often be an affordable alternative to more expensive outdoor furniture. Sitting outside in the sun and normal wear charge its price, however, and garden chairs can quickly become worn and discolored. You can quickly update the look of your lawn chairs and give them a new look by making simple covers for them. This project uses heavyweight cotton fabric, which supports well outside and can be washed when needed.
Make your outdoor sectional furniture covers pattern. Place tissue paper on the seat of the chair and trace the outline with the pencil. Repeat for the front, rear and back seat of the seat each side of the seat arms. On the outer edge of the seat arms, trace all the way to where the arm meets the chair. Mark each piece of the pattern as you proceed with the name of the chair piece and on which side, to the right or to the left.
Make outdoor sectional furniture covers, add the tabs of your pattern pieces. Use the ruler and measure 1 inch away from the outer edge of one of your pattern pieces. Make a line 1 inch away from each existing line. Repeat on all the pieces of the pattern. Pre-shrink your fabric. Wash in hot and dry water in a high setting. Iron the fabric and leave it on a hard surface. Cut each piece of the pattern on the outside line. Remove the pins from each piece.
